This project ensured that the single-track line was rendered fit for the future. <\/p>\n<p>For the new construction, a total of 146 catenary masts ranging in height from 10 to 16 metres and weighing up to 12 tonnes were used along the six-kilometre stretch. To carry out the work efficiently, only a few foundations were cast in concrete; the majority were driven into the ground.
